Love Letter 9

To the boy who made it fun to be wild,

Oh, you know where this is going. Getting a taste of freedom and running with it is exhilarating. Sometimes when you are so comfortable and stagnant in your life, you meet someone that shows you the fun side to everything.

I felt like my life was going to repeat in the same circle until my last breath. It was mundane, the same schedule day in and day out. There was nothing that was going to change or pique my interest. I knew that I would have to eventually meet someone that appealed to my free side before I got to experience it. I would never decide to do it on my own.

We met through mutual friends. I knew you had a bit of a reputation and were walking trouble. Still, you had the thing that called to my spirit. We grew as friends and hung out more.

I won't get into all the things that we found a calling to do. It was a lot of fun to escape reality with you. I haven't visited the train tracks since. That was a once in a lifetime experience. Maybe one day I'll get the courage to go back and watch them once more.

I will say that we had the most toxic kind of friendship that I have ever know. We were always trying to one up one another. We tried to out do the dumbest things. We tried to make each other jealous. It was good that our friendship ended.

Sometimes I wonder if you still go to the tracks. Do you go out late at night to the park to watch the stars? Do you still walk to the gas station in a blizzard just to get nachos? Do you laugh still when you lie?

I got a lot of life lessons from you. Don't always be trusting, Life is supposed to be fun so don't stop chasing the thrill, and you can always get what you want, sometimes it just takes time.

You will always hold a spot in my heart. Thank you for letting me experience that part of life.
